Kielder Water and Forest Park has just welcomed the first railway carriage to arrive for 50 years! It has been located at Leaplish Waterside Park, adjacent to Kielder Water. This stunning carriage has been constructed for the Green Dragon Narrow Gauge, Wood Fuelled Steam Train, which is planned to run on the former Border Counties Railway Line, which was decommissioned many years ago. The Green Dragon is planned to be part of improved vital transportation links within the park, taking visitors to Kielder Castle on europe's only carbon neutral steam train.
